I am Abeyah Ishmael, an advertiser, and graphic and web designer. I am currently a third year advertising major, and design and environmental studies minor at the
University of San Francisco and social media
manager at Knit Marketing.
Because of my upbringing in the inner city of Los Angeles, I’m passionate about social justice, environmental justice, and finding the little pennies, little moments of joy,
that life is covered in. I am constantly being inspired by these pennies that I find. I aim to create things that might be pennies to others. I enjoy creating work that is able to convey a meaningful message in a framework of positivity and lightheartedness.
While my experience mainly lies in graphic design
and web design, I hope to be an artist that does
not constrain myself to any specific type of
medium. I have dabbled in drawing, painting,
and photography. I hope to continue to hone
these skills and see them intermingle in my work.
